Mercedes Lagunas is an emerging Spanish artist who lives near Madrid with her husband and their son. She has been painting her whole life. She studied Art History at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and later on a master in graphic design at CICE. She has traveled all around the world while she worked as a flight attendant. Eventually she transitioned to graphic design.She has taken part in art exhibitions in Madrid and Valencia, and has worked with high-profile clients like The New Yorker magazine. She draws inspiration from works of art, music, other artists... El Greco, Picasso, Goya, David Hockney, German Expressionism, Classic art, illustration community, Olaf Hajek, Akira Kurosawa, TV series, antique shops, people, dreams.
